Hey I’m not rallying my troops telling them what bands to like or dislike. Come to think of it, I don’t have any troops. Plenty of people don’t like my band. I hear about it everyday. I like my band, but plenty of people don’t and on message boards and in interviews and even in person at shows, no mercy has ever been taken on me. But that is what we do here. Whether you’re in a band or you’re an artist or a film maker, you signed up for this. You do what you do for people to either enjoy it or not enjoy it and whether or not they do, they’re going to let people know. I have read some of the worst shit said about me. Things that no one could ever imagine. Things that go way deeper then my band sucks. You gotta have tough skin in this world, especially in this business. I know, I have bad teeth, I sound like Kermit the Frog, my band sounds like Alkaline Trio and I’m a total asshole. Oh well. Life is tough.

i literally made a tumblr account to comment on this.  i was the drummer that recorded the songs that are on the myspace (sans “let this be a lesson”) and they recently kicked me out because i didnt “fit the image” and I have not been happier, that band was stress and an embarrassment.  Telling people my bands name was  shut up and dance made my skin crawl, but unfortunately, they were getting good shows with good exposure.  It sucks that a band like this gets so much buzz about them when there are thousands of original, hardworking bands that would never get a second look for record execs. Its saturated music from a saturated scene.  i want to thank anthony for this post, and i want to thank SU&D for all the cool shows, but most importantly, for kicking me out.
